Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role

The role supports the Ministry to deliver its outcomes by providing efficient, effective and customer centric IM and IT support to Ministry staff. The Helpdesk Support Analyst achieves this by providing timely and responsive support with the customer’s experience at centre.

This position is a key first line position responsible for supporting the Ministry’s information applications and desktop environment. The Analyst will work closely with the Desktop Engineer and support the wider IM team and will be the first point of contact for staff and external parties.

You will also be responsible for providing support to enable staff to access information and records and assist in the maintenance and management of electronic based information resources and systems.

In order to be successful for this role, you will need:

  • a qualification in an Information Technology or Information Management related discipline
  • to have an understanding of desktop environments and committed to building on your existing applications support experience
  • to have an understanding of records management or be willing to learn the basic principles.
  • A basic knowledge of cloud hosted systems and applications, including Microsoft’s Office365 and Skype for Business systems
  • a strong customer service ethic.
