What you will do
 
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring equipment readiness and availability for all operations and exercises by actioning the movement and availability of equipment within SAP Inventory Management and the technical and seaworthiness management of equipment for repair within SAP Plant Maintenance.  This includes providing technical assurance that equipment is available for use and in date for repair/certification.  You will also play an integral role in ensuring that the various processes are followed and continuously improved so that supporting systems are kept up to date.
 
What we need
 
We are seeking a person with proven logistics experience and knowledge of supply chain, inventory management and materiel requirement planning, purchasing and plant maintenance. You will bring a high level of attention to detail and some good analytical skills with an eye for continuous improvement.
 
Exceptional communication skills are needed as you will liaise with diverse range of customers across the NZDF. This is a busy environment where your organisational skills and ability to prioritise to meet deadlines will be put to good use.
 
Good computer skills are essential particularly in the Microsoft office suite with proficiency in SAP products; Inventory Management, Plant Maintenance and Physical Inventory or similar systems.
 
Who we are
 
The Logistic Support Group (LSG) is an element of HMNZS MATATAUA that plans and executes contemporary logistics activities both ashore and afloat, to support operations in the Littoral Warfare arena.

The LSG can be tailored to meet mission specific requirements and is capable of supporting two concurrent operations while maintaining a core logistics planning capability that ensures MATATAUA will be ready for the next mission within the required response time.
